YOUR QUOTATION – DOES IT MATTER ???

ANSWER: YES IT CERTAINLY DOES !!!

WHY ???
From personal experience, and a hard lesson that I had, way back in 1985, I have learnt the value of getting as much accurate information about the scope of work involved in ALL of my Painting Quotes.

After having a convivial discussion with a “lovely local couple”, we all agreed that the ‘Scoped Work’ required stripping of the Weatherboards on the Northern face of the house and standard preparation to all the remaining areas of the house, along with the usual painting etc, etc………..”strip the weathered paint from the Weatherboards on the Northern Face of the house” – Not that hard to write that down specifically eh!!! – BUT I DIDN’T !!!! AND IT COST ME – because I had written on my Quote to “Strip, as discussed and agreed, the North Face of the house”….

How to become a successful painter

Training is the way to go. There is several ways of doing this. You can have your first look at a prospective young person through the schools gate way programs. This is the best to way get an apprentice as you have a chance to get to know the young person before you employ them. It is also the best way of training as the student already has an idea of what you expect of them and what the work will be like. With this you will get long term employees and the self-satisfaction that you get from helping a young person into a career and from putting something back into your industry.
